What is a Naturopathic Medical Doctor?
A Naturopathic Medical Doctor is a 4-year trained and full licensed doctor in the state of CA. The philosophy of naturopathic medicine prioritizes the most natural and least invasive treatments possible. Naturopathic doctors believe that each person has an innate ability to heal themselves, that each person shall be treated as an individual and whole person while seeking the root cause of disease or illness. Additionally, prevention of disease or illness is key.

How do you offer visits?
I am currently offering telemedicine appointments, either phone or video and in some cases, home visits.

Do you take insurance?
I am not contracted with any insurance company nor do I take Medicare for office visits. However, I do accept HSA/FSA and can provide super bills, which you may be able to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

How can I prepare for the first vist?
The first visit it 90 min for adults and 60 min for children. This will be a very in-depth history of current complaint and past medical history. You will need to fill out all questionnaire/consent forms before this visit can take place. If you have previous lab work, imaging or other documentation, you may bring to your first visit or upload it to the online portal. You will leave this first visit with a plan of action.

Can you prescribe pharmaceuticals?
I most frequently prescribe hormones, primarily utilizing compounded forms. I do prescribe medications, but I often try to resolve concerns before utilizing these higher interventions.
